Will this be a beast gaming desktop?

I'd recommend getting 2 1TB drives, you don't want to put all of your eggs in one basket if it fails. Also, you really wont need a sound card. Nowadays, the onboard sound on most motherboards is fine and you wont notice much of a difference.
