Sirius Black ~ Dead or Alive?

Since Luna and Harry heard voices coming from behind the veil it is possible that Sirius is still alive. Whether or not he can come back through the veil or communicate with Harry somehow (with the two way mirrors perhaps?) now that is something I hope JKR explains in book 7.
