How does a moderator delete photos from yahoo groups "new photos" preview area?

some posted photos at my yahoo group. so of course the thumbnails popped up in the "new photos" area at the top of the main page. i immediately deleted the photo folders and banned the member but the photo previews are still sitting there nice as can be in the preview area. there's no way to delete them from there! and they have the person's website address and everything. i'm so angry right now!
